Spring is here and I can finally install my old pond. Today I spent the day with a shovel and dug out a nice chunk of earth and clay. 8x5 feet around and 2
Feet down. I did not hit oil.
So far its just a hole and a pile as I am only one man lol.
Here is the hole growing

I had to hammer a stump out of my way on the last pic. It was rotten so it was easy. And then it rained. Lets hope that pile doesn't erode back into the hole.

Cool any updates?

Yeah, let me go out and check haha.its been raining since the last picture I took so maybe there's a nice natural scape going on!?!

Oh boy what a mess!

Good thing I have a solids handling pump!! The mud is so bad back
There haha. It seems to have made a landslide into the pond. I plan to take the hose to it as stir up the water, net out the big crap and pump out everything. Its pretty much just dirt. No rocks in sight.

Ugggg the weather is like handcuffs holding me back from the freedom of more digging!! Rain rain rain and what? I don't live in Seattle

I do this stuff for a living. I have been doing it for 20 years. Here is the last Koi pond I did.

Barrel fountain for a brewery I did called the Oaken Barrel. This is in the outdoor eating area.

Sod Job?

If you need any help or questions feel free to ask.

Awesome, I actually was about to get back on this sucker and knock it out but of course the whole country was flooded lol. It filled itself up before I had a chance.

So, I have actually a quick question.

I am doing a waterfall stream that will be leaving my filtration from the shed via PVC drains coming out of my shed.

The stream area is above the pond and is essentially a mound of dirt that wraps around the pond with a decent valley all the way to where my waterfall will be.

I can easily just use liner and it will go where I want it but I was wondering about concrete.

I went to college for sculpture so this whole landscaping thing is second nature as far as the carving shaping and the final visions, however I'm not an expert in what materials can be used in these situations.

I'm very good with concrete forms and I feel confident I can make it if the concrete will work. The reason I wanted concrete was to permanently fasten rocks so my big dumb dog doesn't try to dig this pond out like at the last house. He tries to make mud all over and roll in it. Kinda funny but... Lol

I'll go get some pics in a minute to give you a better idear of the area I want concrete.

Well I forgot I started this a while back...we totaled 2 cars, had some doctor stuff, and the rainy season prevented a lot of this project. The pond is now last on my budget! So here is where it is at now, continued in another thread because I forgot about this one haha.

So here is what the pond is doing as of now. Mostly its a bunch of weeds and the water is flowing only to prevent Mosquitos. 1900gph in a 250g pond! Bwaaahahahahahahaha.

The flower pot in the center is where I will house my bait fish, they can not escape through the bottom but water always flows into it!
Water is diverted to a chessy waterfall and also a jet stream under water for future fish to have a blast.
