As I’m sitting here thinking of how I want to set up this 40 breeder build, the question popped up

I have always wanted to do a SPS dominated tank but I love the looks of zoas

So is it possible to do a sps tank and have zoas along the sand bed so I can get the best of both worlds?

Tank is a 40 breeder 2 hydra 26’s, skimmer,uv light ,as for flow I can go as high as needed between the return pump and powerheads as I have 4 brand new slw-20 powerheads and a 2 different return pumps to choose from (both dc variable speeds)

Will be adding either 2 part or Kalk in the near future

You can do both, just place the zoas in the lower light areas of the tank. Sps up top.

I have my zoas in over 300 par. Growing like crazy. Pulled all my sps due to AEFW. But I have a pack ordered from Battlecorals to restock in March. Can easily have both sps and zoas.

Yes, you can. 40 gallon cube with zoas on sand bed. Getting blasted by wavmakers sitting at around 150 par.
