Finding various spots of Green Pocillopora on walls, overflow towers and return pipes was pretty cool. I didn’t have to cut or glue, they were just there. GP coral are fairly common to find popping up in and around your reef. Just wondering if other corals are as prolific? Very curious. Pictures if possible.

Green Pocilopora is notorious for either spawning or throwing polyps. They'll sprout all over your tank.

So spawning sounds natural but throwing polyps? As in the photo, some but not all new little colonies are above the main colony. How is that possible?

Not sure. In my 125 I would occasionally see just a little dot of green that looked like a polyp. Within a couple of days it started to become a new Poci. They'd pop up on the completely opposite side of the 6' long tank. It could have been spawning but I usually only saw one or two new ones at a time.

Likely not spawning but polyp bailout. Pocillopora are known to do this in aquariums
