Hey Reefers, I have a monti cap growing up against my pocillopra. It looks cool how they are trying to grow around one another, but the question is should I intervene or let nature takes its course.

I've lost a lot of sps corals by just letting nature takes its course lol.
 
I would probably cut them both back, why let them duke it out when you could be the peacekeeper? Coincidentally the stress may cause some polyp bailout in the pocilopora. You may see some new poci’s popping up around the tank.
