i had a suspicion that it wasn't but it was sold to me as that so i kinda stuck with it but Im not sure the growth doesnt quite match up to a tenius either, its a nice piece either way.

I recall a post some years back about "blob" type growth where it was thought that it must be some type of coral cancer...Is it hard skeletal growth or is it tissue growth? I think the post was on the other forum......

No real answer for you my friend. But it sure is a really nicely coloured coral.
