What do you guys feed your SPS besides fish poop? Please show case your corals too. I’m becoming a firm believer that when SPS are fed they possess awesome signs of health including vibrant colors, polyp extension and growth.

Also when are you guys feeding? Lights off? Lights on?

I was doing lights on but switched to lights off a month or so ago

I feed the fish twice a day (LRS Reef and Herbivore Frenzy) along with algae sheets between (small amount at mid day). I change nothing in the tank when I feed (no feed mode, sump and skimmer remain on, etc.). Nothing else is added to the tank. Build thread for progress pics if interested.

I put some oyster feast in a little squirt bottle, then a little reef roids with just a little tank water. No real measurments. I let mix it up and let it set a few minutes before spot or broadcast feeding.

Is the mixture thick like paste?

There is plenty of research out there showing drastically increased SPS growth with feeding. I remember a study with baby brine shrimp and another with BRS reef chili that featured montis. I have fed many foods for coral, but come back to instant ocean baby brine shrimp and BRS RC but sometimes add golden pearls.

Also use reef chilli. Have become a user of aquavitro fuel and loving it. I use a zoo supplement as well and feed heavy.

I don't feed the corals directly but I do add bottled bacteria regularly because I've noticed my acro look happier with drastically increased polyp extension. Not sure if that's a food source for them or they just smell it (taste it?) and are looking for food they smell
