SPS frag tank disaster/crash. Need advice.

Okay – I have had somewhat a perfect storm happen over the last three days that caused my skimmer to over flow three times and biopellet reactor to stop tumbling. The pump is on its way out and would stop the sump would back up the skimmer and turn on again sending the waste inside the tank. The biopellet was inline with the pump and stopped tumbling. Before I knew that I took the pump off line then oiled it again then another stop and backup.
Now my tons of SPS (over 3K worth of frags and colonies)are either brown or stning.
I have secured a new pump and will have it installed tonight. Also, have had the skimmer turned off for a day to mitigate further backups..
I did a water change yesterday and plan on doing another after the new pump is installed. All params are good. I don’t have an accurate nitrate test and API is 0. I am sure there are nitrates.
Anyr other suggestions to get the SPS happy again and stop the few that are stning?

Check your phosphates as well, make sure to keep them low. Check alk why you're at it. ( need to rule them out). I hate to hear you having this happen. I hope everything pulls through. Good luck.!!!

Grab a poly-filter and run carbon, do a 50% water change if possible with stable pH, temp and chemistry to your existing system.

Man sorry to hear of your troubles, that really stinks. I would do a large water change as mentioned. You have received good advice from everyone. Good luck

+1 on the poly filter. It saved my tank from losing all my acropora from a tainted batch of carbon. I'd also check your alk daily until it gets under control.

Bummer on the crash! :( Could have been because the reactor was offline and the bacteria died. THen when it came back on, there could have been nitrates, phosphates, and ammonia in the reactor.
