Hi guyz!

I'm preparing a Juwel RIO 300 tank with a DIY 5x T5 54w bulbs.

I want to make the tank with mostly SPS corals, the lighting will be sufficient? I'm thinking for 2x Blue+, 2x Aquablue Special and 1x Coral+

Please feel free to post your comments. Thanks!

I think you should be fine. I run 4x 54W T5s and my SPS is doing great. I run 3 Blue+ and 1 Coral+. It's VERY blue. I like the look with just the Coral+ and Blue+ fired up. I'm tempted to replace one of the Blue+ with another Coral+.

Good luck on your build! Be sure to post pics of the DIY.

Thanks a lot for your reply!

I'm thinking to sacrifice some coral coloration and to shoot a crisp blue, close to 12-14k will be perfect for me. Also I have plans for the future to add clams, those prefer a more white look. The advantage with the T5's is that you can change the kelvin's easy.

How tall is your tank?
