Hi folks,

I got some SPS by mail order about a month ago. Unfortunately they arrived with severe shipping stress and RTN’ed less than 24 hours after their arrival. So I claimed a credit from the LFS and bought something else, throwing them to the back of my tank behind some rocks to the “elephant graveyard” where I hoped they might add to the hiding spots I have for my copepod population. I was trying to find another one that fell between the rocks and found this one which appears to be regenerating? I can’t easily blow it off. What do you guys think? Recovery of some sort of algae?

Also might add there’s no obvious polyp extension (though in one photo it looks like there is- it’s substrate).

Parameters
Ca 430
Mg 1360
Alk 8.0
Nitrate 11
Phosphate 0.09

Note the bleached glitter lepto in the background, this and three encrusting monti’s also arrived in poor condition. I am getting slow recovery from those guys. One of them montis looks like a goner though, but I remain hopefully. They’re all in the bottom third of the tank and target fed three times a week.

This shipment was a disaster!
