I had an opportunity yesterday to get six distressed SPS corals along with a Derasa clam from a local reefer who is shutting down. It was a great deal and I’m happy with it. But I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how to help some of these SPS.

I currently have lots of SPS in the tank and everybody is doing well but as you can see some of these are barely hanging on from the tank crash the reefer had. I do dose ~5ml if Acropower daily to help my corals.

1. Do you happen to know the name of any of these? I’m not sure they’re nameable and the current state but maybe what type of Acropora are they?

2. On the first coral picture, would you
off the green branch? I’m guessing it’s fully dead and covered in algae but wanted an opinion before I do anything.

3. Is there any other advice you would give me besides keeping my tank stable and giving them time.

Thanks TCoach

Personally, when I revive stressed corals, I try to do as little as possible to them until I see that they are responding positively in the tank.
I usually just put them on the frag rack and walk away. Over the next week, if I see growth/polyps out/coloration improvement/etc, then I'll frag or otherwise treat.
Remember, they're really fragile right now and doing too much might put them over the edge.
Just my 2 pennies worth.

SPS4 could be garf bonsai.

Easier to see if you take pics under white lights. I just see blue corals.

Any dead parts I trim back into living flesh. Maybe a quick dip in some Lugols solution. Keep them in some medium light like 250 PAR
