My blue Cali was the first Sps I got, and it is the fastest growin and hardiest Sps in my tank. I have it in a ten gallon with 4x24w t5ho

Very hardy, fast growing, this colony was grown from a small frag. It's under high light med/high flow.

It is my understanding they are different species. Miyagi Tort is A. austera and Cali Tort is A. tortuosa.

hmm..nice point. Didn't realize that. Is there a color difference?

This is not an easy yes or no answer. I would say coloration is similar and depending on lighting (spectrum and strength), both species can change color significantly. We've found that our Cali Tort tends to have more of the green coloration (which we like) when kept in a more shaded area.
