SPS tip burn help

Hello, I have multiple SPS corals that have got tip burn after an alk jump (i would assume). My alkalinity went from around 8.3 to 10. I stopped dosing and brought it back down to 8.4dkh and it has been stable there with calcium at 419 for about 3-4 days now. my corals have started to get white tips and it just keeps receding.

I have a millepora and TSA fruity pebbles colony that has white tips all over and they are not getting any better. i also turned the lights down about 30%. What can I do to STOP the tips from receding down further and further?

Should I cut all the tips? Would that stress the coral even more? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will answer any questions.

Phosphate? When this has happened to to me I snip all the tips and it usually heals up

I ran out of reagent. It comes tomorrow, but it typically is between 0.04 - 0.06

The corals are still healthy. Has color, polyps are out, but its still receding from the tips

Guessing that with NO3 that high the PO4 bottomed out....IMO this is what causes the "burnt tips" when alk changes. (Alk changes in higher nutrient systems should be tolerated better.)

i have to agree, sometimes it gets away from us and that phosphate just bottoms out and strips acros
