What size wood did you use? If I think I know what one I have a bunc left over from the skin of the stand.

Is it flimsy ? Or strong and solid? Lmk cause I'm deff gonna do this I was trying to figure out how to hide the wires and make sure not water gets I to it.

You plug everything in first? How did you do it if not lol lmk.

Thanks, the back is pretty much open so the cords can run down and out. I will have a cord sleeve to bundle the cords coming out.

It is made from the skin and it's sturdy. The back is open so you can plug and unplug as you want. It will attach to the wall at the base of the floor. I'll take a pic of the back for you so you get the idea.

Very nice light fixture and wooden box thingy! What brand and type of MH bulbs you going to run? I have been running a x2 MH + x4 T5 fixture for years and have been researching what LED fixture to upgrade to. I have a standard 48" 75 gal reef and so far its come down to either x2 radion pros or x2 Orphek Atlantiks, but I'm starting to like the hybrid idea but think I may go in the direction of LED + T5s

Thank you!! I will be running 2x 250 watt Radiums. Im a halide reefer and wanted to try using LED's for my supplementation. T-5's are great! T-5's or LED's was what I had to decide on with my lighting but having halide as my main source. I find that this works best for me. Good luck! Let me know what you decide on.

MH are too hot for my AC bill. I am running a 250w sunpod 14k mh with LED in my guestroom on the 20L frag tank. Man it's warm in there! So no way in my livingroom. I Have AI Sol Blues flanked with ATI T5s. So far so good :) My electric bill is over $300 a month now.

Can't wait to see your setup running :D

One of the many things I really like about the sump is thats it made out of ABS plastic. ABS is impact resistant, tough and very light. Also it's properties make it resistant to UV where fading and cracking can occur.

That sump is awesome. Do they charge much of a premium for the ABS vs. a completely acrylic sump?

Thank you! I think all they work with is ABS but I could be wrong. PM me if you want more info.

also im deff going to build that. im not the most handy but i have a TON of left over SKIN and wood. so ima get onto it in a day or 2.

what is the DIMS of the box so i no what to do automatically lol. ! cause i have the same ADJ.

I'd have to measure it but yeah the back is completely open so the cords can be plugged and unplugged. You can make the box as long as you want to fit your situation. I'll have some kind of cord sock cover to hide and hold all the cords together as they go into the box.
