I ran the original AQ-Maxx hob-1 (2012 - 2014), it was fantastic

Looking at that skimmer as well... Did you end up getting it and if so how is it working?

I did get it, I returned it because I felt it was a pain to assemble. That’s just my opinion, I imagine this may not be an issue for other people. I winded up getting the Tunze 9001. Looks good in tank, works OK, put only Getting a wet skim. post if you do get the SSA-ES1.
