My stand is completely enclosed, so it gets very hot and humid in there. I was wanting to install 2 fans to help draw in some cooler air. I am concerned that cutting 2 large holes will lower the strength of the stand. It is made from 3/4" plywood and has 3/4" x 2 1/2" wood supports in the corners and along the top. These supports are not all touching though, as you can see in the upper left hand corner of the last picture.
I was planning on putting 2 fans above the electrical raceway, one towards the left side on the back wall and one towards the right side on the back wall. I would have to cut 3.5" x 3.5" or 5" x 5" holes depending on the size of fan I used.
The tank is 48" x 20" x 22" and the stand is 36" tall. Do you see any issue with doing either 2 of the small or 2 of the large fans? Thanks!
