Has anyone painted the inside of there stand any color other than white?? Pros or cons to doing so.

The inside of mine is black it's nice and clean.... Makes it a little dark where I had to add a light but no big deal it's better than boring white haha..;)

We finished our reef stand with stain and varnish on the inside to match the out. I think it looks alot better than white, especially after the white gets dirty and ugly.

I just got a free tank/stand that has the inside sealed waterproof then painted black. It looks nice :)

my idea

i used the garage floor epoxy with orange flakes to make it stand up to the salt corrosion better.. looks cool too.

Just make sure you get the UV resistant sealer if you do that.. then it wont yellow and crack if you have a fuge/sump light under the hood.

There was one on RC that the guy painted the inside of his stand/canopy a bright sky blue. I doubt it did anything for lighting, but was certainly interesting.

I painted the inside of one stand red, with a black wash over the red.
I just did it to do something different.

I have used a mold and mildew inhibiting paint in the past and it made a very good seal on the wood. It was almost like plastic.
