Starfish getting stung?

So i just noticed that my bali star is under my frogspawn and near a shroom. It looks like the starfish has cracked legs...is it getting stung?

I took it out from under the coral but it looks real bad

Starfish will regrow no problem as long as your tank is clean

Starfish died the following week... maybe something was eating it cause it did have a hole in it

I have one with a hole in it also. Is there anything that can be done for it?

I tried to save it but nothing worked for me... it does a week later

I picked up a Nano tank and it was an inhabitant.
