Starfish Id please

Just found this guy in my tank. I know I have asterina stars that hitchhiked in there but this one look a lot different

yes, that is not an asterina. Hopefully others will chime in on ID.

it could be a fromia? it's shaped like that and it may be too young to have full coloration. just a thought.

Huh, never seen one like that, not an asterina.
Kinda has coloration like a chip star, I'm curious as well what that is exactly.

I have found chucksaddiction.com/hitchstars.html usefull. It's been a while, check them out. I personally never seen one like that.

I removed it from the tank and have it in holding due to fear of eating my corals obviously . The only one I could find close is this unnamed one and the one in my tank dose not display any color like this one (unless just to young ) idk hopefully someone on here will be able to fill me in
