New to us is a starry blenny, and we are trying to determine the best feeding options.

We have tried Omega One Seaweed dangling on a VeggieMag clip without luck.

We have noticed the blenny eats stuff off rocks and the back wall, but we do not have a lot of growth, and I worry about starvation.

Last night, the blenny ate 1-2 small pieces of Piscine Frozen Mysis, which shocked me, as I did not think that was something they wanted to consume.

I was thinking the blenny would go after the seaweed, but nothing in the tank wanted it. pulled it out after a few hours.

Different brand? Give up on trying to feed that way?

Unless he looks thin I wouldn’t worry about it. They sustain themselves pretty good off algae alone

My lawnmower will not eat Algae off a Clip. Presentation is the key. It needs to banded flat against a Rock for them to show interest.

I'd like to plan ahead of time. Let's say, for the sake of this post, he is thin. What next?

are you doing sheets or are you breaking it up into smaller bits?

I honestly don't feed mine algae intentionally, she picks algae off of the glass and rocks and also likes to catch the bits the scraper knocks off of the glass during cleaning, but most of the time she's eating my prepared frozen fish foods and pellets like every other fish in the tank.

The frozen I feed is Rods Food Original and Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef mixed with Boyd Vitachem (there's also cyclops and baby brine in there but that's for the corals mostly).

I feed Reef Nutrition TDO Pellets when I don't have frozen prepped or I'm feeling lazy 😅

She regularly lays eggs too, so she must be getting the correct nutrition.

Thanks! Good info here
