Hey guys, some questions for you. Anyone ever owned a Starry Blenny? The LFS near my house has one for about $16 and it just seems to have some great personality as well as looks awesome!

If you own one or know of them:

1. What type of personality/tempermant do they have?
2. Do they jump?
3. Food sources?
4. What attracted you to this fish?

thanks in advance!

They can jump, if they are harrassed by other fish. I have had two and they are among my favorites! They will eat algae growing on the back wall to eating what ever you feed them. They are peaceful and love to interact with you watching them.

I have had one for over 2 years. It eats just about anything I put in the tank, pellets or frozen. Like Murf says it grazes all day long. It will get used to you also. When I put my hand in the tank now it hardly ever moves. I literally have to touch it to get it to move.

Mine is a well behaved fish and bothers no one. Loves to graze and eats most anything. It is so tame it will eat from my fingers.

Someone in our reef club used to have one... IIRC it was a model citizen in his tank, he was always posting pics of it. Very cute fish.
