Seeing more of these green spots on the base rock of tank that is 4 months old and having a bit of a diatom phase at the moment. I'm told that this might be the start of Coralline algae, but not sure as it's not purple/pink as such algae should be - does it start out green before it turns color, or am I really seeing some form of other algae starting to poke it's ugly head out?

Thanks

Likely another species of algae. Coralline is pinkish

While coralline can be green, that is just the start of algae on stark white rocks.
Ok, leave it alone for now? I'm sure it's all part of this 'ugly phase' I'm having to go through.
