Starting to experience what I believe is my first experience with STN.

I'm pretty sure it was caused by me dropping Alk a little too fast.

Pics taken after blowing on the corals with a baster so polyps a little secluded

I have heard a lot of possible "solutions", currently this isn't plan of attack... going to make sure I keep all params stabalized, and also added another Powerhead to increase the flow..
Should I lower light intensity?

My question, at what point do I pull the plug on them in order to prevent spread? (Does it spread?)

Thanks y'all

Its not a disease that can spread...its a reaction to the water (or lights) by each individual coral. Each coral is different...some may STN/RTN faster than others.

Ok cool, it not being able to spread is comforting.

it can *seem* like its spreading but in all reality, its each coral reacting to the environment. Just like bleaching

Would you recommend doing a water change for safety sake?

what was your dkh, what is it now, and how long (hours) did it take to change?
How long has it been at this new value?
Water change opinion will be based on the answers to those.
