How have YOU been though?

Hi Ravi, I was thinking about your crazy build thread and figured I’d check in to see how your tank is doing.

My tank took 4 years to become stable and I always thought larger water volume would make nutrients easier to control. Turns out, it’s been the exact opposite! After losing coral after coral, I finally said, the hell with it. I’ve spent enough hard-earned money on this hobby and seeing so many expensive frags die i am done BTW, those Periha pond pumps are one of the reefing hobby’s best-kept secrets. Quiet, reliable, and incredibly energy-efficient for the amount of water they move.

Post an update! Nobody cares if your tank looks perfect. I think mine looks ugly half the time, but as long as it’s alive and kicking, it’s a beautiful reef!

Any updates on your tank?

Hello Ashish, tank is doing well, went with acro heavy and I will post pictures this weekend, it took 5 years to stable and now it is pretty much cruising, I try not to make sudden changes to the tank, I lost quiet few acors in the beginning but after finding issues and fixing, it start to stable, now I have acro and chalice fever - lol, in terms of Periha pumps, they are by far the best pumps compare to any other high end name brands, reliable and variable speed, wattage to gallon per hour is on par,
