Starting My Reef

Hello everyone,

After a 10-year hiatus, I am back to owning a small part of the ocean again. Lots has changed since I walked away, and very little at the same time.

I got myself a sweet Cade 900 S2 with the summer deal from Algaebarn and a Hydros Kraken with a big battery for the inevitable power outage, and I am building up my system around those two. There is also a Syncra SDC9.0 and Phillips Coral Care Gen 2 light. And, of course, I had to install an RODI water station.

The tank just arrived very safely and now I try to find the perfect angle and location.

Let the fun begin!

Spend the weekend working on things. Installed the hydros collective, plumbing, built a light hanger, cabinet lights and staring to fill with rodi water for leak and equipment testing.

I love how much wiring is hidden by the cade design.

And things continue. The cycling has begun while be I wait for the florida love sand. Sadly not shipping until Oct.

Making more progress as the ugly phase started.

Also finished the hydros installation, the filter roller and skimmer are working.

Not a coral ... It is a macro algae that my tangs so far ignore
