Newbies getting our feet wet. Had freshwater tanks off and on for a few years, finally make enough to afford the jump to Saltwater. Me and my wife are all ears and open to advice.

We started with a 10g Innovative Marine AIO tank for the counter. After establishing and learning a few lessons the newbie hard way, we have 2 Frostbite clowns and an orchid Pseudo. We also have an Ultra Green Bubble Tip Anemone, an Acro, hammer tip, GSP, and a small Zoa.

Then the “addiction” hit us and we purchased a 60g Innovative Marine AIO and are 4 weeks into establishment. Once established, the live stock from the 10g will be transferred and the 10g made into a quarantine tank, as our orchid Psuedo has been fighting Ick for 2wks.

I can add specific equipment info if needed.

Nice upgrade! Like the aquascape and look forward to seeing it come to life. Funny how just about everyone end up wanting bigger tanks in the hobby ;)
For your GSP is it on its own rock? Grows crazy fast and can be a pain to keep under control. I have two colonies one is great on rock I can pick up easy to keep others on large structure and fight to keep it contained and not overrun everything

Yeah, our LFS warned us that it would be the closest thing to weeds in our tank and to keep it isolated on a single rock. The rock that it is on will be the only one that makes the trip into the new tank.

I made the mistake of showing it to the general, now it’s in my living room lol

Love the stand on the new build!

What equipment are you using?
The 10g
1 Kessil A80 tuna Blue with the Kessil controller
I upgraded the return pump from the 97gpm IM to a 326gpm MightyJet. I run on its lowest setting.
50w heater
Crushed live rock bag for Filter Media
And 300 micron filter sock.
Tunze ATO
11lbs of Live Rock from LFS

60g
2 Kessil A80 Tuna Blues with Kessil controller
1 Jaygo return pump
1 Filter Media tower with half a block of MarinePure bio filter media and a foam pad for large particles
1 300 micron filter sock
1 2600gpm Eflux wakemaker with controller on lowest setting
1 200w heater
Tunze ATO
48lbs of Live Rock from LFS
Also have a protein skimmer, but not currently running it

Well it looks like it found a good home. Did you not want the twin AI 26s that were on it at the store?
We already made the investment into the Kessil controller and had one of the A80s, once the 10g is a quarantine tank, no need for a high performance light so both Kessils will be on the 60g.

I bought the longer 24” arms that are designed for the Kessil A360X. The arms are universal thread into to A80 brackets
