I’ve been working on getting the trim and final touches on the shelves....crown molding sucks!!!! I finally (sort of) got the hang of it (pardon the pun) as I was finishing the last piece. Now I just need to begin the hood pieces and hopefully the replacement tank will arrive around the time I’m done.

That's awesome! I still owe you the Coquito recipe

Ughhh... the tank builder didn’t have the tank ready in time to be delivered today. Soooo this saga continues another week. On a positive note, I took today off work for the delivery but I’m enjoying getting a little rest. It also gives me another week to work on the doors and canopy. It’s irritating but this too shall pass.

At least my little ones are still doing well in the quarantine tanks. More good news...I got extremely lucky with a yellow tang from petco!!!!! He was only $60 because his fins were damaged. This was after the Hawaii ban and subsequent price increases so I feel extremely lucky to have found him. :) Meet “Sunshine “!

Wow amazing work, the stand and surround looks great so far.
I would love to have a setup like yours.

Sorry to hear you have to wait longer for your replacement tank, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Can't wait to see more, following along
Keep up the great work

Thank you so much for your kind words and support!! :) It’s definitely been a huge learning experience and my fingers are almost getting used to being smashed with the hammer on a regular basis! Haha! It’s all good...the journey and road blocks just make the finished product more worthwhile.

Best way to learn, get in and get dirty. Sometimes you take a whack from a hammer in the process, but by the looks of it, it's working out great.

New here so you’re the first I’ve met lol. Marsh seems to be inactive...
It’s definitely not as active as the Facebook groups and Reef2Reef but sometimes there are good deals on used equipment and stock that people post on MARSH. Check out Major League Reefers on Facebook too :)

Canopy construction has begun. I sat down to draw out a design and just managed to frustrate myself! Lol The plan here is a basic frame with braces across the top to hold lighting. The top cover will be fully removeable to allow for cleaning and I’ll put three basic doors on the front.

Is it just me, or is the sound of a nail gun intoxicating?! Bwahaha!!!!

Steph this is turning out killer! You have mad skills. I’m following! This is giving me more of a push to redo my 20 year old 110. Keep up the awesome work. I’m a 71’r. Lol old.
Nah, we’re not old...we’re vintage! Lol Thanks so much for following :)
