Mr. Or Mrs. Uniquecorals, since you are a plate expert and since ppl are coming to this post to reply about their love or interest in plate corals I want to extend my request to anyone willing to part / sell their plate colony / wild growing plate. Im only interested in plates still on their stem. Please feel free to answer back. Very VERY interested.
If you cut them in half, how long does it take them to grow back (roughly)?
Love that 3-mouther!
Um, no one here is proffering themselves as an "expert", but there are some knowledgable reefers here. I don't think I have ever seen one attached to the mother colony in the trade...Would be interesting to see if anyone has!

I would not know, my friend. Maybe it needs more food than it's getting. Personally, I've never kept them, but I had some luck reversing recession in a different coral I had by dosing Vita-Chem.ive noticed some recession.
Anything i can do?

Not the prettiest plate but it sure is hungry. I shot this guy with a little time lapse photography chowing down. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5h_ysFZhG3WczZqR3hRN1BJekE/edit?usp=sharing
That was over about 15 minutes.
You had me there for a secondI really like plate corals. Here is my orange one that looks a little bit like Lincoln!
