I recently rebooted my system with all new rock sand along with bleaching and scrubbing everything clean to new condition.

Fast forward days after the cycle I add my quarantine fish (copper safe at 2ppm for 4 weeks) and I get ich. I think it came In on a friends media I used to seed my tank.

I know this extreme approach but it’s a small enough tank I can just empty it and start again. I’d didn’t even reach it to ugly stage. No corals, inverts or CUC.

questions,

1- last time I drenched straight bleach all over the inside of the tank and scrubbed it then hosed it out 10 minutes later, is that enough to kill any ich on the glass/silicon?

2 - bleach will turn my aqua forest rock blue, if I just leave them to dry in the sun will that be enough? Or I can boil them outside, I know dangerous but there is zero chance I have palys in there and I live on a few acres so unlikely I’ll harm neighbours.

3 - how long and what ratio should I soak Everything else in bleach?

I don’t want to bin the rock as it was $250aud, happy to bin the sand as i’m not happy with the colour anyway.
