I want to seed a new tank with coralline algae from an old tank that has some pests. Should i scrape some off the algae into a container and do a bayer dip to kill any hitchhikers? Or is their a better way? Thanks

Personally I wouldn’t take anything from a tank that had pests. Coralline algae will grow in your new tank as it matures without the risk of adding something you don’t want.

Any pests that are in your old tank. You never know what you might pull across. When you say pests in your old tank, which pests exactly?

You can get some coralline algae in a bottle instead.
