Steve's LED (BioCube) not Working

I was initially having issues getting BlueFish setup, but switched to another Android device and worked great. Got it connected, all is good, except the LEDs won't do anything. Bluefish is good, Wifi is solid, power is getting to the hood (Fan and circuit board is lit). What else can I try? I tried the demos and still nothing. Am I missing something? I have tried the controller cable in two positions. one as seen in picture, the other was shifting over to the left one pin. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I'd try contacting Steve's (it might be something really simple they can assist with).

I sent an email (ticket) several days ago, and left a voice mail on Monday. Haven't heard back.

I tested the ends of the controller cable and found that all were touching somewhere just outside the controller. I cut back the insulation and spliced onto some connectors from an old PC. All is good now!
