How many members here, who have children, would be okay with perfect strangers calling their parenting strategy "dumb"?

It was an April fool’s joke. At the same time, posting one's parenting strategy on the internet, or any other opinion or comment, is asking to have it responded to with other opinions. Entering a thread like this solely to disparage those responding, as well as complain that your time was wasted (were you forced?) is what I would call completely uncalled for… especially after the entire thread was clearly a good hearted April Fools Joke, carried out with help and approval from the ownership.

Have a better day tomorrow, pet a puppy or something. The act is said to add time to your life and reduce stress and anger.

What I saw a father that was taking an interest in his child's life, something we need more of in our society. April fool's joke of not, I saw some people giving this man cr*p for teaching his kid to grow up with good values. I felt compelled to respond in his defense, just as you have here.
