How's the cyano situation and have you tried anything else?
I used CHemi Clean and it is completely gone. The only problem I have had since then is the skimmer going crazy. My skimmer is an HOB so I cannot just let it run and do it's thing. But the tank itslef is great now.

I held off using Chemiclean but my tank is slowly clearing up of cyano. I used bottled bacteria (Seachem Stability and PNS) daily until both bottles were gone and did several treatments of Coral Snow. I am not convinced that the bottled bacteria or Coral Snow had an impact, it may have happened on its own. I also got my nutrients in a better balance which may have helped. Its still not completely gone but is much improved.

I also tried bottled bacteria along with coral snow, and I had minimal cyano anyway. I do not feel they did much, which is why I went with the Chemi Clean. I used Brightwell Aquatics Microbacter 7 and Microbacter clean.

Thank you both! It's a hard decision, I'm so afraid of being one of those people that uses it and then gets dinos afterwards, horror. Wish there was an absolute understanding of what causes any and all of the ugly stuff, imagine that, an absolute about anything in this hobby!!! 🤣

I was really nervous about using Chemi Clean, but honestly, seeing input from @Randy Holmes-Farley really made me feel better about it. You will be fine.

I have used chemiclean when I was aquarium tech for a lfs and it was always ok.
Because my tank went through a significant disease event the end of January when my tank was only 3-4 months old and I used cipro, Prazipro, metroplex in it, I was reluctant to add another antibiotic/chemical so soon. I felt my tank needed to settle and the uglies were not on the coral or even the rocks much, mostly just the sand. I decided that I could just wait it out without damage to anything. It sure looked bad a long time and then one day I started noticing white sand peeking through and slowly those places got bigger. Now there are a lot of clean areas of sand and the uglies that are left are more pale. Who knows? 🤷‍♀️ Its a mystery what makes it go away when Chemiclean is not used.
