So, I understand that LaCl3 isn't a great tool for fine tuning phosphate, but man, it's been super helpful in trying to get my reef back on track. I've been using Phosphate Rx per @melev's suggestion, and it's working great! I am working at getting through the phosphate that is leaching out of my rocks. Right now, I'm at about .5 PO4 (I know that's a lot, but I started at over 2 PPM). I've added corals back to the reef, and they're doing great so far!

I'm curious for those of you who have dealt with leaching issues before, is there a rate that I should expect that to hold at? At what point should the level at which it's leaching out start to drop off? I guess I'm just wondering what I should expect this process to look like. Right now I'm testing PO4 daily and dosing LaCl3 accordingly.

I’ve been using LaCl for almost a year now. I have the dose dialed in, and only occasionally have to adjust the dose. 2.7mL SeaKlear daily.
