So far I have 2 clownfish, 5 chromis, a firefish, banded shrimp, emerald crab, 2 blue leg hermit crabs, 6 turbo snails.

I'm looking for peaceful fish to add. I've heard of blennies, gobies, bangi Cardinals, and 6 line wrasse.

Any advice would be great. I have a 40 gallon breeder with the Fiji cube insert.

Tank size and pics of rock work are needed for this kind of advice.

I'd say you're already over. Not many hiding spaces and 8 fish in a 40g.
It is hard to see but the rock work has a lot of places to hide. Check my other posts I lost my firefish for a day. There is the large platform on the right. Then there is a rock tower then idk how to describe it. It is a bunch of rocks suspended by a few pillers that snakes around a few rock islands in the sand. Then there is a crashed flying saucer and 2 parts to a sunken ship both hollow. I found my emerald crab sleeping in the sunken ship

If you desire another fish I think a nice wrasse would be a good addition. I always like blennies also any of them.

What about just a sand sifter. Not one that will burry itself in the sand. My sand is maybe 1~1 1/2 inches deep.

While bangaii good, you seem to be at capacity ot very close too. I would think Xmas and a larger tank to fulfill your addon desires

you mean 1 of the Valenciennea gobys not a good idea they require a very old tank otherwise they will starve to death i think you are full with 8 fish

Add a hector goby and call it good until a few of the chromis decide you have too many of them and open up some real estate for you.

Anyone have any luck keeping a emerald crab from nipping at Coral? I fed him last night and he still attacked my daisies. They look hurt this morning.
