Stilophora white at the botton

Hi, I bought for just 10 pound a big stilophora. I just realised it is white at the botton but im not sure if it is dying or just because the position was very low and the base was staying behind other corals.

Pretty normal to be white underneath and on stalk.

Older picture from my tank. The bigger the Canopy on the Stylo gets the more white stalk you will see, light just doesn't get there grow the polyps is my guess.

Looks like it was cut from a large colony. When the colony grows out it will shadow the lower branches. This is normal since the underside of the branches are not getting much light.
