My po4 bottomed out a couple months ago and one of my milleporas started to STN. Surprisingly, it was healthy and a fast grower for me. Once I noticed the base continuing to pale, I fragged it. I haven't notice any STN since, however I have seen no improvement on having it encrust or polyps out. The color is still there and good, but it has been like this for months now. Is this normal during recovery? Anyone have a past experience that was similar?

in my experience the frag will die 80% of the times, but you're saying its looking fine for months now, so that isn't the case, maybe the location is the problem? have you tried moving it?

I left it in the same location as before because it did so well prior. I moved it last night, so time will tell if that made any difference.

I don't have any good secrets to share about stalled out acros/millis. That you managed to save it is an accomplishment. But I've got some pieces hanging around that have been stalled for over a year. Has color, but no encrusting, nothing.

I've had pieces that do great on a frag rack, then once I mount they stall (assuming parameters are consistent). In this case, it's almost always flow or lighting. I would research the flow/lighting requirements of this particular coral, and mount accordingly.
