Wondering if anyone else here is in to stock trading? I just started getting into on the Robinhood app and man is it addicting. I only put in a $100 to start just to see what it’s all about. So far I have made back $8 profit in 2 weeks. I will definitely start to add way more now just wanted to test the waters before I really get in to it. my thought was hey if I only lose a 100 so what.

i’ve recently gone down the retirement/investment rabbit hole myself, and always trying to learn more.

maxed out 401k, maxed out roth ira, index funds, lots of dividend stocks. next for me will be getting into selling options! that’s where it will get exciting, now that i have the retirement potion established.

took me a long time to learn that all this money i had in my savings account was not working for me!

that’s awesome you have all your stuff maxed out. I wish I started this back in my early 20s I’m 32 now and it’s better then never. I have been watching the options trading for a little bit and have not fully jumped in yet. Now a days putting your money in to a savings account is useless seeing that the valve of your money is decreasing every year. They should teach this stuff in school instead of all the other useless info they teach you that you will never use in life. Right now I am putting money in to stocks that have been around forever so there is little risk. Just trying to build up my portfolio before I jump in to high risk stocks.

i have low risk stocks that pay dividends for long term investments. i will use more risky stocks for selling options. should be fun! i also agree this should be taught in school.

i trade options on lucid but i’m not sure if i want to own at this point. i also jumped on the amc bandwagon just to see what happens. right now i’m really concentrating on my dividend portfolio and i’m up to $200/mo, trying to get up to $1000/mo.

i’ve been buying a lot hoping this is a correction and things will turn around in nov. oct is horrible for the market though and it’s really tough seeing $1000 daily losses to your portfolio. lol.

I own shares of lucid. And I just got into trading options. Just like gambling. Was doing well then lucid price went down. Still researching and learning options.
I was looking into dividend stocks also. Couldn’t find too many where I saw a big of a return.
I am also into REITs. But they haven’t been doing to well also

dividend stocks are long term holders. you only care about the dividend payments and you don’t plan on selling off anytime soon. they pay out per share you own and you’re not going to get rich, but they are stable, free income.
