I'm going to start piecing together what I want in the refugium of my sump. The simple things like chaeto I know. What do you put in with jt? Mud? Bio blocks? Sand?looking for everyone else's opinions

I have a bare bottom Fuge. Instead of sand or mud I opted for a large bag of matrix. Although a DSB and mud have their own benefits you can't beat the surface area of matrix and when it's in the bag, super easy to swish around in tank water when doing a water change to clean.

I was going to fill the bottom with bioblocks but thought I would see from others experiences
