My ProClear 200 turns a year this week and it's time for transferring some stock. I made some mistakes at the very beginning and now they are catching up with me. I went nuts buying frags. I bought everything and anything that was attractive to my eye that I could get at a reasonable price. I 'planted' corals in every hole, nook and cranny. Little tiny things with tons of space for more. Right?
Well here we are a year later with all kinds of encrusting corals (including acros) and they are fighting for real estate. Some have grown over others and are starving those beneath for light. Others are duking it out and creating boundaries. Long story short is I need to prune and trim and in same cases totally remove some corals before they overtake or get overtaken.
Now let me go on: My SCA 150 is completing it's cycle. It's been up and running for almost two months. Nitrites are still high. Ammonia is zero. (Salifert)
I'd like recommendations on using some of my existing stock for the new tank and how to go about it. When and how so as not to lose livestock and proper use of real estate.
I'll post some pics of tank as of today and the cycling tank to give ideas.

My SCA 150 has been sitting fallow after cycling for about three months. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go bare bottom or sand. Then I was thinking of what type of fish and just procrastinating. Finally after some coaxing here on Reef2Reef and at home I decided to visit the LFS. My local shops are in downtown Orlando so I have a selection.
I found three fish that I really wanted and were relatively inexpensive to start with.
A tiny Sixline wrasse
Powder Brown Tang
Copperband Butterfly
These my not be everyones first choice for a three month old tank but like I said, I wanted these so I brought them home. Gave them each a fresh water dip and in they went at 1.018 salinity.
Did I point out that the reason I bought the Copperband was that he eats Mysis like there is no tomorrow?!!
He loves the stuff. It blew my mind and even the guy at the store commented on how unusual that was.
Surprisingly, they had others that were eating as well. I asked where they came from but it seems to be a clandestine location and I got the shrugged shoulders. Lol
Anyway, I'm happy as can be at this point. A finally have a CBB that actually eats! Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Hey all,
I have an interesting situation going on in my new SCA 150. Tank has six inhabitants . Copperband, powder brown, sixline wrasse all added three weeks ago.
Lamarck Angel, coral beauty Angel, Scopas tang,
Two weeks today.
I fresh water dipped all fish prior to introducing them to tank.
I reduced the salinity to 1.009 and it’s maintained at that level by ATO since 10/31.
Here’s the problem,
I’ve seen the Powder Brown, Lamarck, and Scopas do an occasional rub on the rocks.
No spots, no labored breathing, no loss of appetite.
I read just about everything I could find on ich and flukes. To be honest I had serious doubts of it being either of these parasites. The rubbing wasn’t consistent and no real evidence.
I finally decided to treat with Prazipro and I’m now 48 hours into treatment.
Water is cloudy. Fish are less active and eating is minimal.
I’ve prepared replacement water at the same salinity of 1.009 for my first water change after first treatment.
Any one gone through similar situation?
