Here is my 40 gallon tank that is currently cycling. I plan to make this a reef tank but I am wondering on what fish I want to stock.

Here are some of the fish I would love to have:

2 × Ocellaris Clownfish

1 × Royal Gramma

1 × Banggai Cardinalfish

1 × Firefish Goby

1 × Possum Wrasse

1 × Tailspot Blenny

1 × Neon Goby

1 × Chalk Bass

1 × Green Clown Goby

Also adding some snails and hermits.

I know I definitely want to have the green clown goby and the tailspot blenny. I like how they look a lot. I’m just wondering what you guys would do with the fish I suggested or how you guys would stock my tank! I’m open to suggestions from people with more knowledge and experience!!

The list looks fine but IMO too many fish. My own 40 breeder has only 5 fish. Your rockwork is basic and just doesn't offer enough hiding spots for 10 fish. Royal gramma, gobies, blennies are all fish that like to hide in the rocks when they get stressed, if no hiding spaces, there will be aggression.

Yeah I didn’t plan on having all those fish. It was more of a list to pick from, but thank you for letting me know about the hiding spaces.
