As you can see from my past posts I already have a stocking list but that whole idea crashed once I realized that tangs can happily live in 50gal. Right now I have 2 clownfish, every parameter is good except for salinity (auto top off in shipping and making some freshwater right now). I’m just wondering what else I can add in my tank. It’s a 55 gal but I leave it at the 50 gal mark because of no top (I had a fire fish and no jumps because my tank has unlimited hiding spots). As I said, I have two clowns, previously had a coral beauty as centrepiece but would like a tang of some sort instead and I’m curious about what else would fit in there. Wouldn’t mind intermediate fish and hopefully some that eat algae because I have a little problem.

It can work, but it possible the tang won't be happy.
