Stocking suggestions-33 long reef

So, is it possible for some of the fish that are recommended for a 55 gallon to do OK in a 33-long? Since it's the same footprint as the 55, I was wondering if some fish might be ok. I am considering a kole tang, or one of the smaller rabbitfish like a 1-spot foxface. Or even a marine betta. I only have two small gobies right now. I'm looking for a reef safe larger fish that could go in here.

Kole tang: what are the dimensions of the tank?
Foxface: I would not recommend getting one of these since they can grow to 8 inches long
Marine Betta: I normally would not recommend a 8 inch fish for a 30 gallon tank however the one I saw in person wasn't very active at all so I don't know

dwarf angels IME are reef safe if fed well.

a few wrasse could be nice e.g. a melanarus or yellow coris but some may go after crabs and snails

I am just not a fan of clownfish. I've had them, and just not for me.
I have had some bad luck with dwarf angels, but I *love* them. One started treating my hollywood stunner like a buffet as soon as I put him in. I do like coral beauties, keyholes, etc., but I am a little gunshy with them as I have a lot of zoas, cup corals, and more LPS.

I want to stay sort of peaceful, so I may look into a wrasse of some sort. Not a fan of grammas or basslets, but I could definitely revisit.

another idea is bangaii cardinals. The bristle tooth should be good if you don't have too cramped of a aquascape.
