Hi all,

I’m about 3 weeks into a fallow period in my 12g AIO, and I’m starting to plan what I want to put in. I like visually interesting fish, so I’m considering either a firefish or an antenna goby and pistol shrimp pair to go with a clownfish. I like inverts so other shrimp and maybe a pompom crab are on the eventual wish list. No coral yet, but there may be a zoa or 2 in there by the time the fish are introduced.

Would you go for the firefish or goby/pistol shrimp pair, and why?

Sorry to say this, but a 12 gallon AIO is pretty small for a clown IMO. An antenna goby and shrimp pair could work.

I’d say, firefish honestly need a tall tank. 20tall is a nice size for them though. You could do the antenna goby and a couple other tiny gobies/ blennies or maybe like a damsel
