Key points for it being UNWD would be that the fish still tries to eat and is a fairly recent addition to the tank.
Do you see any damage or discoloration on its snout?

If it shows an interest in food, then it is UNWD. If it completely ignores all food, then it is what we call moribund, weak and close to death.Hi Jay
He was absolutely fine yesterday and has been in the tank for nearly 6 months and no symptoms before and no sign of any damage or discolouration to his snout
If he is still alive in the morning I will he is definitely eating and swimming but he just hangs tail down and his tail area looks contorted occasionallyIf it shows an interest in food, then it is UNWD. If it completely ignores all food, then it is what we call moribund, weak and close to death.
Hopefully, it isn’t either of these two diagnoses!
