Hi
I was wondering what f anyone can help me with my little yellow wrasse

He seem to be acting strange like dangling upwards in the water almost as if his back tail fin is paralysed?

He can swim and is eating but it just seems weird

Thanks

Take a look at the first post in this thread:

Key points for it being UNWD would be that the fish still tries to eat and is a fairly recent addition to the tank.

Do you see any damage or discoloration on its snout?

Jay

Hi Jay
He was absolutely fine yesterday and has been in the tank for nearly 6 months and no symptoms before and no sign of any damage or discolouration to his snout

If it shows an interest in food, then it is UNWD. If it completely ignores all food, then it is what we call moribund, weak and close to death.
Hopefully, it isn’t either of these two diagnoses!
Can you post a video of it?
Jay

If he is still alive in the morning I will he is definitely eating and swimming but he just hangs tail down and his tail area looks contorted occasionally

Hi jay
It’s getting worse now he is laying on the rock occasionally trying to swim tries to feed but I believe it’s the UNWD he has all the symptoms I don’t want to see him suffer anymore
