Strange bubble in Euphyllia

Good evening everyone. I was Wondering if anyone has any insight on this strange bubble in the middle of my Euphyllia. The coral seems happy otherwise and is growing.
parameters are as follows:
salinity 1.026
no3 11
po4 0.06
calcium 430
alk 7.9
mag 1370
flow is 4 mp40’s and a gyre.
the coral is up front in the corner of the tank. It gets gentle flow 23 hours a day probably. 1 hour a day all MP40’s are in constant mode at 100%.

Common with torches. Not sure why they do it.

I thought so as it has been present for awhile and seems otherwise completely healthy. However, in all my years of keeping reefs, I do not recall ever seeing one have this.

all kidding aside, I would be curious to know the why. But the fact it’s “okay” is Just as important.

A lot of the time this happens when the coral is prepping to split or get larger in that area....stretching the tissue.

Do you see this or something similar, related to polymer based or organic carbon dosing?

@thatmanMIKEson, I don’t know the answer to that and I’m sure you were not asking me. However, I will say that I am not dosing either of those.

That's a good question and I can say I do dose MB7 weekly but I'm not sure how much it matters...

Ive seen this on my hammers and frogspawn as well, pretty sure, as mentioned above, there will be some splitting in the future. O-H!

I have had the bubble appear 3-4 other times on this coral. So I’m not overly worried, more just curious.

I have a similar bubble going on with a birdsnest, and had it on a green slimer not to long ago. It may not be the same, but definitely a strange boil.
