strange egg? mass on unsderside of liverock

so did some work and a piece of live rock was moved back so underside was visible and i noticed a large ~3 inch area full of eggs?it is tan colored and almost looks like an anemone but is just densely packed fingerlike do-hickies...

any thoughts?

ok...so as i hit post...husband comes in and says "i bet those are cowrie eggs" since the deer cowrie was hanging out there...and yup... they are... so mystery solved...
