So my ph in my tank was always low, 7.8 to maybe 8.0 at best. my tank is 4 years old now. I was using 2 part for dosing but the load was so low it really didn't raise it at all. Last summer I installed a co2 scrubber and it went up to 8.2- 8.4 . I was going through the co2 media really fast, so I got a recirculating cap for my skimmer and my ph was always above 8.3 after. I also started to dose All for Reef about the same time. About 3 weeks ago I had a dino outbreak and took off the recirculating cap for my skimmer because I was dosing bacteria and wanted to make sure I there was enough oxygen in the water. My ph hasn't gone down below 8.2 since.

Not that I'm complaining, but I'm just wondering what happened? I have a GHL mini that reads my ph and I did a calibration just to make sure that wasn't the reason.

That's normal. You've successfully reduced the CO2 within the tank and it's balancing now with the room CO2.
