After all the rain last night my driveway was crawling with worms this morning. I had the bright idea of feeding them to the fish. Haven't done it yet because I wanted to do some research on it first. Google produced mixed results. I know it wouldn't be good as a constant supply but would it be ok to feed some occasionally?

If you use any pesticides or herbicides in the area, I would not use them. If you do not, give them a couple of days to "evacuate" their insides, and then rinse (and gently squeeze, running from head end to tail end, to remove the rest of the waste) before use. They are generally better-suited for pond fish such as koi, but I must admit mom's puffer thought he'd died and gone to heaven once he figured out that wiggly thing was edible!

I only ever gave him one, so I can't speak for its safety regarding repeated use.

I personally wouldn't feed them to a marine fish. Fresh waters not an issue, but not marine. That's a personal preference as I have no actual facts for or against this.
Like eienna said, not if you've used fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides before and let them pass whatever they've recently eaten.
I used to do this with a pair of axolotls I had a few years ago and it worked great. What fish are you considering feeding the worms too?
