I have a colony of zoa's that seemed to be always seem to be irritated .This hard green crust has always bothered me. I took some tweezers and busted it open and here's what I found. Also looks like eggs inside of the hole . I clean out best I could and freshwater dipped . It's now in a container. In QT until I can set up a true QT .

They all came out of that green hard crust that I popped. Something is irritating them constantly. So I popped it open and cleaned it out.

I am not really sure. I will try and post a pic when they are open. They are orange and Greenish tips. I am terrible at remembering names. I recently got back in the hobby. It wa hard enough remember scientific and Species name. ow we have so many names I cant keep up. Lol I will have to post here or on the main page and see if someone knows.

Eagle eyes or watermelons. If the skirt is green in person then watermelon. If the skirt is yellow, eagle eyes.
I think they are on the green side .So watermelon.

Thanks .I'm recording these names in my aquarium app . That way I'll know in the future .I hope that fire and Ice makes a comeback. It's looking better today. It had a baby aptasia on it. I got sidetracked with the other things on it .I got it with tweezers best I could. It was between 3 polyps. Ughh

Aptasia between polyps is no fun. We tried everything. I removed the frags and my wife held a bright led light and I slowly cut away the aptasia with s hobby knife. Worked well but have to be very careful.

I think I replied to your thread. It was so difficult. I had to have my lady do the same. I couldn't find it after I pulled it out. I hope that is what was irritating them .
