Hello everyone. I just got shocked today. Upon checking with my multimeter. I found out that I have a Stray voltage "SV". I'm in the Philippines where we have hot neutral system. No 3rd prong grounding. Upon checking, its coming from my lights. When I turned off the lights, the SV drops to zero. But when I turned it on it starts again. Is there a grounding probe for my electrical system here? Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks a bunch.

Lights is weird. Unless there is some nasty salt creep, normally that wiring is all dry.

I would recommend GFCI over ground probe.

And of course, figure out why electricity is going from your lights to your tank.

Hey there, The metal mount of the CBL "China black lights" are screwd on the metal hangers. When I unpluged the lights the SV goes away. Goog point about the salt creeps.I will look into that.

2.2 volts is very low and quite normal. That should not give you any shock. A ground prove is a good idea anyway.
